This bewitching flower stopped us in our tracks on the trail near the Akaka Falls on the big island of Hawaii near Hilo.

Akaka falls is a 422 feet tall waterfall located in the Akaka Falls State Park near Hilo on the island of Hawaii. It is possible to view this majestic waterfall from many portions of a trail that loops through the park.

Although we are not vegan, we were welcomed to stay as long as we maintained a vegan lifestyle on the premises. We enjoyed four lovely days there spending our time on the beach, snorkeling and exploring the town of Kona.
This was a restive and relaxing stop on our way to our house sit in Western Australia.
